She has styled her brunette locks in a glamorous updo, with strands cascading down either side of her perfectly formed face.

The looker accentuated her natural beauty with a flawless makeup palette, including a brown smokey eye and a swipe of brown lipstick.

The top-class amfAR Gala Cannes took place in the legendary Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc Cap D’Antibes.

Guests enjoyed musical performances by Halsey, Adam Lambert, Bebe Rexha and Gladys Knight while sipping Clase Azul Gold and Reposado Tequila from Mexico’s first luxury spirits brand.

Clase Azul is Mexico’s first luxury spirits brand and creator of Clase Azul Reposado, which celebrity guests will be sipping at the party.

The swanky amfaR gala also included a fashion show curated by Carine Roitfeld and a benefit auction by Simon de Pury.

Included in the auction was Cecily Brown’s latest work, created specifically for amfAR, and an autographed 2016 Damien Hirst artwork by Leonardo DiCaprio.

amfAR Gala Cannes co-chairs include Angela Bassett, Kate Beckinsale, Robert De Niro, Ethan Hawke, Scarlett Johansson, Milla Jovovich, Eva Longoria and Heidi Klum.

amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, is one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education and advocacy.

In April 1983, Dr. Mathilde Krim and Dr. Joseph Sonnabend, along with Michael Callen and others, founded the AIDS Medical Foundation (AMF) in New York City.

It was the first private organization in the world dedicated to raising funds to support scientific and medical research into AIDS. The first research grants were awarded in 1984.

In September 1985, amfAR was formed through the merger of the AMF and the like-minded National AIDS Research Foundation, which had been established in California in August 1985.

Since then, amfAR has invested nearly $617 million in its programs and awarded more than 3,500 grants to research teams worldwide.

The amfAR Gala in Cannes raised a total of more than US$245 million for amfAR’s life-saving AIDS research.

This extraordinary achievement has enabled the Foundation to make critical research investments to put a cure for HIV within reach.

amfAR’s research investments have helped develop antiretroviral drugs that keep millions alive and have helped prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV in many parts of the world.

And amfAR has roused a scientific community that, once deeply skeptical, has largely embraced the notion that a cure is not only possible, but achievable in our lifetime.

Today, amfAR supports a number of healing-oriented strategies. A new funding initiative called ARCHE-GT, for example, supports research teams investigating gene therapy approaches to healing.

Importantly, the researchers are tasked with developing an intervention that could be delivered by injection, increasing the chances that if effective, it can be delivered without complex laboratory procedures.

Since the pandemic began, about 84.2 million people have contracted HIV and more than 40 million have died from AIDS-related diseases.

What is AIDS and HIV?

What is AIDS?

AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

It is a disease in which the body’s immune system breaks down and is unable to fight off infections called “opportunistic infections” and other diseases that take advantage of a weakened immune system.

What is HIV?

HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus.

It’s the virus that causes AIDS. A member of a group of viruses called retroviruses, HIV infects human cells and uses the energy and nutrients provided by those cells for growth and reproduction.
