Michael Ball plays George in the musical, which stars Laura Pitt-Pulford as Rose, Jamie Bogyo as Alex and Danielle de Niese as Giulietta.

Set in devastated post-war France, Aspects of Love follows beautiful actress Rose Vibert who is left homeless and penniless after the premature end of the play she had hoped to end her career.

She is invited to a villa in the country by a young American in love, Alex Dillingham, and spontaneously accepts. Everything changes when she is unexpectedly interrupted by Alex’s respected Uncle George.

Thus begins a turbulent 20-year love story between the three of them and George’s lover, the spirited artist Giulietta. Everything changes again when Rose’s daughter Jenny turns 18.

From the cobbled streets of Paris to the French countryside and the splendor of Venice, Aspects of Love is a gripping romantic tale of passion, love, betrayal and heartbreak spanning three generations.

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart, based on the novel by David Garnett, Aspects of Love is directed by Jonathan Kent.

Aspects of Love at the Lyric Theater runs until Saturday 11 November 2023.

It comes after Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Princess of Wales both made cameo appearances in the opening sequence of the Eurovision Song Contest final.

Kate paid a touching tribute to Ukraine as she played the piano in a stunning opening sequence to the grand finale, which took place at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.

She appeared virtually from Windsor Castle in a pre-taped segment, with her appearance on the BBC show remaining a closely guarded secret.

Kate looked stunning in a one-shouldered blue Jenny Packham dress – to match the Ukrainian flag – as she played the piano in the brief 10-second cameo.

Composer Andrew also made a surprise appearance in the opening sequence, playing the piano and smiling for the camera in another previously shot clip.
