A man has been arrested after a car crashed into Downing Street gates, according to the BBC.
Police said he was arrested by armed officers on suspicion of criminal mischief and dangerous driving.
Footage from the car shows him approaching the main entrance to Downing Street, the home of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his family.
The car seems to slow down before reaching the gates, which are guarded 24 hours a day by armed and unarmed police.
The Prime Minister was in Downing Street at the time of the accident, but had left on an scheduled visit.
There are no reports of injuries, the investigation is still ongoing, police said.
The incident happened at 4:20 pm BTS, police said.
