Staff at the US Embassy in Australia paid a very special tribute to Tina Turner, who passed away yesterday, May 24, after a long illness. In Australia, the Nutbush, a group dance performed to the tune of Nutbush City Limits by Ike and Tina Turner, has enjoyed great popularity in recent years. It is a phenomenon that also has a Wikipedia entry and that went viral on social networks between 2019 and 2020. It is usually performed with dancers arranged in a checkerboard pattern, as did the Australian Embassy staff, who certainly did their best, even if the ballet ended up being a bit ramshackle.
