The body of actor Jeff Machado left a funeral home in Itaguaí, in the Rio metropolitan area, around 5 a.m. this Friday (26) and immediately went to Santa Catarina. The body was in the trunk
The actor’s remains were found in a suitcase that belonged to Jeff and was removed from his home. The information about the trunk is part of the investigations of the Whereabouts Department (DDPA) handling the case and confirmed by family lawyer Jairo Magalhães.
“This suitcase belongs to Jeff, it is similar to another one he has at his house and it was removed from there. It is another clue that led the police station to suspect who was involved in the case: that it was a person who had access to Jeff’s house,” said Jairo Magalhães.

9 men were required for the removal
The place where the body was found is owned by a woman who was previously interviewed at the DDPA and said she doesn’t know Jeff but rented the space to a man. The police already have the ID card.
The team that was on site to remove the body consisted of nine men: two operated a jackhammer, two plainclothes police officers took turns using pickaxes and shovels, and five men from the civil defense.

Disappearances and Text Messages
Jeff disappeared in late January after leaving a home in Campo Grande. The family of the actor, who worked on the Rede Record soap opera Rice, learned he had disappeared after an NGO contacted him to say Jeff’s dogs had been abandoned.
The Setter breed animals were microchipped and six of them were found in Santa Cruz, in Pechincha and in Campo Grante in the West Zone. One animal has died and another remains missing.
