The Canadian actress passed away after a two-and-a-half-year battle with ovarian cancer Samantha Weinstein. He was 28 years old. Weinstein was best known for playing high school student Heather in the remake of “Satan’s Gaze – Carrie» from 2013 directed by Kimberly Peirce. A photo was posted to Weinstein’s Instagram page with the caption, “After two and a half years of cancer treatment and living jet set around the world, he gave voice to a variety of animals from the cartoons and made music.” And as she learned more about life learned than most people would ever learn, she set out on her next adventure.

Who was Samantha Weinstein?
Samantha Weinstein is leaving her sister Sabrina, her husband Michael Knutson and parents David and Jojo Weinstein. Born on March 20, 1995 in Toronto, Weinstein had a prominent role in the role of the young girl Josephine in Big Girl, which won the Best Canadian Short Film Award at the 2005 Toronto Film Festival and the Young Girl won the award as an actress, 10 years earned the Actra trophy for best actress in the same year.

Weinstein’s television credits include roles in Being Erica, Angry Angel, The Other Grace, Copper and director Vincenzo Natali’s Darknet. She has also had an extensive voice acting career, including for animated series. Weinstein is also known as the songwriter and lead guitarist for the Toronto garage rock band The Killer Virgins.
