Twitter user “gocanes94” revealed his brand new tattoo at the start of the fourth duel of the series between the “Canes” and the Florida Panthers.

A Stanley Cup, Hurricanes logo and the words “Stanley Cup Champions 2023” are visible on his right bicep.

Of course, Rod Brind’Amour’s squad didn’t perform as expected and eventually got carried away. Matthew Tkachuk gave the Panthers a 4-3 win by scoring in the very last moments of the game.

The Carolina team’s last win was in 2006. Since then, they’ve made it to the semifinals three times, suffering the same fate each time. The Pittsburgh Penguins (2009), Boston Bruins (2019), and Panthers (2023) eliminated them in four short games.
