Two drones attacked an oil pipeline administration building in western Russia’s Pskov region, the regional governor said on Saturday.
“Early in the morning, an explosion damaged the pipeline administration building near Litvinovo in the Nevelsky district,” said Russian Governor Mikhail Vedernikov.
Shortly thereafter he said that according to preliminary information The building was “damaged as a result of an attack by two unmanned aerial vehicles”.
There were no casualties and the investigation is still ongoing.
According to unconfirmed reports from Baza, a Russian Telegram agency with intelligence sources, the drones were targeting the Transneft pipeline company in Pskov.
The explosion happened in the village of Litvinovo, about 10 kilometers from the border with Belarus.
In recent weeks, reports of drone attacks in Russia in regions bordering Ukraine have increased.
Two drones attacked buildings in the center of the city of Krasnodar in southern Russia on Friday.
Moscow blames Kiev and its Western backers for the numerous attacks and sabotage operations. Ukraine has denied involvement.
