Andrew Dagnell announced the death of Emily Morgan: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of our esteemed colleague Emily Morgan. As well as being an incredibly talented journalist, Emily was a beloved member of ITV Network News and her absence is deeply noted by those who knew her”. And he added:
As a science and health reporter, Emily has been instrumental in covering some of the most important stories of our time, including her bold account of the Covid-19 pandemic, visiting hospitals and meeting with frontline healthcare workers to share their stories to share with our viewers. His services were instrumental in bringing to light the enormous pressure on NHS staff. She has become a trusted voice of the public at an unprecedented time.

Finally, he offered his condolences to the journalist’s family:
