Procon points out errors in Netflix addon fee Itatiaia

Netflix’s additional fee for sharing passwords caused controversy on social media. Finally, can streaming charge for the service? How are the accounts controlled? These are some of the doubts streaming users had about Procon the company stated that the measure was not clear and might violate consumer protection law. So much so that the Paraná Consumer Protection Service notified Netflix last Friday (26).

For ProconPR, the company does not make some information clear. For example, if it brings the message “Look where you want” on the website. Soon the consumer understands that he can see it anywhere. The information comes from Claudia Silvano, coordinator of ProconPR, in an interview with G1. Streaming has 20 days to clarify such doubts.

Procon is aware that there is no way for Netflix to limit the user to watch streaming elsewhere when they can access the platform via mobile devices, tablets and cellphones.

Last Friday (23) Netflix announced that it would charge R$ 12.90 more for users who lend their password to people who do not live in the same building.
