Marina Sena and Anavitória delay shows at Virada with fans in the rain

Sao Paulo

Hundreds of people packed Avenida Eliseu de Almeida in Butantã to see concerts by duo Anavitória and singer Marina Sena at Virada Cultural. The three were the most anticipated performers at the Butantã stage, set up in the neighborhood of the same name in western São Paulo.

Ana and Vitória, who were due to appear at 3 p.m., were 18 minutes late. Sena’s delay was even greater as he took the stage 45 minutes later than scheduled. His fans waited tightly packed in the pouring rain.

Sena, one of the most latent names of national pop, has just started the tour dedicated to his new album “Vício Inerente”. Accompanied by a ballet, the singer from Minas Gerais opens the show with the sensuality of the title “Sonho Bom”.

By the way, the dancers are an important part of the show. They lead Sena in the choreographies of “Me Toca” and later in “Tudo Para Amar Você”.

The singer is shaking and making faces, in a pop diva pose. In “Dando Sarrada,” a fan favorite, she and the dancers return to their sensual movements.

Anavitória, on the other hand, focuses on romance and cuteness. They start the show with “Yellow, Blue and White”, dressed in white and barefoot.

In the track, Rita Lee narrates a poem by activist Simone de Beauvoir. Vitória made gestures with her hands and asked for applause for the moment when the voice of the singer, who died in early May, echoed through Avenida Eliseu de Almeida.

The duo performed their biggest hits like “Pupila” and fan favorites like “Explodir.” On the track “Agora Eu Quero Ir” from their first album, the audience sang the chorus alone in unison.

It began to rain as the two sang “Trevo (Tu)” and umbrellas were set up in the middle of the audience.

While Sena did not take the stage, “Put down the umbrella” was chanted from part of the audience. Almost everyone obeyed and kept the object, except for one group, who held open a blue umbrella until the start of the performance of The Girl from Minas Gerais.
