The “Fubar” series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is available on Netflix. What did netizens think of this action comedy starring the Terminator?
At 75, Arnold Schwarzenegger starred for the first time in his career in the TV series Fubar, available on Netflix. In this action comedy, the latter plays a spy who embarks on a risky mission with his own daughter, who is also employed as a secret agent by the American government.
As the undisputed box office champion of the ’80s and ’90s, Schwarzy wanted to bring together all the ingredients that made his films theatrical success. But apparently the recipe didn’t work, as evidenced by the predominantly negative opinions of Internet users on AlloCiné (average 3.2 stars out of 5 for a total of 99 reviews).
Viewers decidedly didn’t hold back their punches to undo Arnold Schwarzenegger’s streak that could almost be described as a work accident. Starting with Harry6489, who gives the series a score of 0.5/5: “This series has no interest. The dialogue is flat and the father-daughter duo doesn’t work at all.”
The same applies to Franck G, who gives the series a slightly more generous rating of one star: “Schwarzy’s series is completely transplanted into a somewhat goofy humor without much interest.”
Netizen Lyah chose to compare Fubar to Sylvester Stallone’s excellent Tulsa King series. For this netizen, there now seems to be a rift between the two cinema legends, who retain from the Netflix production “just a chatty series and a disturbing banality that, despite the presence of Schwarzy, is difficult to captivate”.
However, some netizens liked the series. This includes Culturevsnews giving Fubar four stars for the humor aspect of the show: “What surprised us was how funny the first episode was, with Schwarzenegger being one of the funniest parts of this episode.”
Albert Degive, while less enthusiastic, nonetheless did not shrink from his enjoyment of this pure entertainment series, as evidenced by his review (3 stars) left on our website: “No one takes themselves seriously and certain puns are worth their weight in pop.” Corn. “
Other Internet users also expressed their feelings on social networks:
I catch FUBAR on Netflix @Schwarzenegger And honestly he’s awesome as a retired CIA agent, I laugh a lot! If you want to have a good time, go ahead with your eyes closed 😍

035 #fubar 05/27/23 @NetflixFR
Excellent family action spy comedy with a good cast, working valves, good production and characters. Lovable and a rhythmic cut that ensures that the viewer does not get bored.
And what did you think of it? pic.twitter.com/KIOvDgng2Y— The Bearded Guide (@BarbuGuide) May 27, 2023
Despite its rhythm issues and sluggish staging, I didn’t have a bad time watching the 8 episodes of these Sub-True Lies.
The characters are nice, if extremely stereotypical, and it’s a pleasure to find Schwarzy as the overwhelmed mother hen. #fubar pic.twitter.com/P89uQplP8w— Trelkovsky (@AdrienBalet) May 28, 2023
#fubar I disregard the ugly special effects, the disgusting VF (so in VO for me and that’s much better) and the stupid scenario. But it’s still a nice series, with a dose of humor and a #Arnold Schwarzenegger too old for that, but who’s still pushing 👍❤️

Seen #fubar. Not crazy, but very generous. The casting is very good, lots of sleeve effects. Good entertainment. We’ll see if Season 2 gets a little crazier.

For #fubar I only see one explanation
Schwarzy saw that Stallone had made a series.
Then he saw that the series had completely faded #True Lies
He wanted to do a series in the same vein, but under the pressure it just sucked.
So
On the other hand, #TulsaKing it’s really not bad. pic.twitter.com/L1k00vsYFl— Mr. So (@JeCraqueTotal) May 27, 2023
