Frail Jane Fonda, 85, is seen in a wheelchair at LAX

Jane Fonda looked frail as she was seen in a wheelchair on Wednesday arriving at LAX from the Cannes Film Festival.

The 85-year-old cult actress, who claimed at the festival on Saturday that “white men are to blame for the climate crisis,” was spotted being pushed through the terminal by an airport worker after her long-haul flight from France.

Fonda wore a black jacket, lavender sweater, black pants and white shirt for her arrival look.

She completed the ensemble with a pair of sunglasses and a black face mask.

It is not known why Fonda used a wheelchair – but in the past she has had back surgery, knee replacement surgery and a hip implant which has required her to use the wheelchair.

Fonda is facing backlash after demanding that men face “arrest and jail” for the destruction inflicted on the planet, while blaming white men specifically for creating the “climate crisis.”

“It is a tragedy that we absolutely must stop.” We must arrest and imprison these men – they are all men [behind this]she said at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.

She added that “if there were no racism, there would be no climate crisis”.

“White men are the things that count, and then everything else.” [is] at the bottom,” the outspoken actor said of the “hierarchy” that empowers men.

Fonda first voiced her thoughts on the link between racism and climate change in an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this year.

“Where are they supposed to put that shit,” she said. “They’re not going to put it in Bel Air. They have to find a place where poor, indigenous people or people of color live.”

Fonda on Saturday urged those responsible to act quickly as she believes there is less than a decade left to save the planet from the effects of climate change.

‘This is serious. “We’ve got about seven, eight years to halve our use of fossil fuels, and unfortunately it’s going to hit the people who have the least responsibility the hardest,” she said.

“Global South, people on islands, poor people of color,” the actress continued.

Her comments followed a question from the audience at the famous film festival.

“It’s good for all of us to realize that without racism, there wouldn’t be a climate crisis.” “Without patriarchy, there wouldn’t be a climate crisis,” Fonda explained.

“A mindset that sees things hierarchically.” White men are the things that count, and then everything else [is] at the bottom,” she explained.

The Grace and Frankie actress has previously made headlines with her sensational comments on the highly politicized issue.

Back in December, Fonda announced her cancer was now in remission and doctors told her she could stop chemotherapy before her 85th birthday next week.

The Barbarella star shared the happy news with her fans on her website, calling it “the best birthday present ever”.

“Last week my oncologist told me my cancer was in remission and I could stop chemotherapy,” she wrote in a lengthy post.

September post: The star explained that she was undergoing chemotherapy and was hoping for a good outcome

In September, Fonda – who previously battled the disease – revealed she had cancer after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but told fans at the time she was “lucky” as it was “very easily treatable”.

The thrice married star said in her latest health update, “I feel so blessed, so lucky.” Thank you to everyone who has prayed and sent me kind thoughts. I’m confident it played a part in the good news.”

“I’m particularly fortunate because while my first four chemo treatments were fairly easy for me and I was only tired for a few days, the last chemo session was tough and lasted two weeks, making it difficult to accomplish much of anything .”

Fonda, a two-time Oscar winner, said in September that she was “privileged as a celebrity” and was “lucky” to have “health insurance and access to the best doctors and treatment.”

She has previously been diagnosed with both breast and skin cancer, the latter of which she blamed on her past love of sunbathing.
