A young woman jumped off Disneyland’s famous Splash Mountain before the waterslide squirted down and said she was suffering from a panic attack.
The woman, whose name has not been released, dressed in black leggings and a gray sweatshirt, dismounted unharmed from the moving log and walked along the edge of the makeshift mine.
“I can’t,” she is heard saying, “I’m having a serious panic attack.”
Footage showed the shocked drivers behind her saying, “Oh my god… what are you doing?”
Fatima Yusuf Wright posted the scene on her TikTok on Monday, which went viral with the caption “Splash Mountain fiasco” and the warning “don’t do this.”
Wright also posted the scene to her Instagram, calling it “crazy last weekend from Splash Mountain… thank god she wasn’t hurt.”
The video was captured as the gullies filled with riders rapidly approached the edge where riders have been flying and posing over for years.
The famous attraction will soon be closed for a major renovation.
Footage shows the shocked riders at Splash Mountain over the weekend saying, “What the heck!” Another said, “Oh my god… what are you doing?”
Disney’s Splash Mountain ride in California officially ends Wednesday
Fatima Yusuf Wright told that she and her partner got to the park when it opened around 9:15 am and walked to Splash Mountain.
She said she was in another waterslide and the girl was in the waterslide right in front of them.
She said that as the gully moved up the slope, the boat went around a roundabout and the girl then decided to get out.
“There was confusion as to what was happening,” Wright said in part. “At that point there was no one else behind us and we couldn’t hear or see the group in front of us.”
She said the girl jumped out of the slide before any major falls occurred and she isn’t sure if the woman yelled for help before deciding to exit the ride.
“All you hear is music and the screaming people walking down the longest slope,” she said.
Wright said that staff were able to find her after the incident and did not kick her out of the park.
“They understood her situation and advised her not to do that again,” Wright said.
Her video drew mixed reactions. Some condemned her for posting the young woman’s face and urged her to remove the video, while others were horrified and shared their own tales of panic.
“She could have been killed. Never get off mid-ride,” one person wrote.
“These attractions are no joke. By leaving, you can cause serious harm to yourself and others. She’s lucky she wasn’t hurt.
“It could have fallen in the gap between the log and the water.” These logs move fast and are heavy, you can’t just push them away. I’m glad she’s okay.’
Another wrote, “Panic attacks can trigger a person’s body to do things like this. It’s a real disorder and should be recognized and respected as much as a physical problem, such as a disability.”
“Panic is not a choice… if she really thinks it’s going to save her life, she’ll definitely get away with it!” Feel for her and I’m glad no one got hurt,” wrote another.

In 2020, Disney announced plans to close Splash Mountain — at Disneyland and Walt Disney World — after petitioning for the change after the water attraction theme went viral.
Despite the controversy, parkgoers appeared eager for one of the last rides before the official closure, with some reporting a wait of more than three hours until 2pm, the news outlet reported.
Wright told that she “loves” Splash Mountain but is excited for the reinvented version.
Disnelyland officials did not respond to ‘s request for comment.
