The Nuggets earned their first ever NBA Finals win on their home court in Game 1 Thursday night. Nikola Jokic played 40 minutes and had 27 points, ten rebounds, a record-breaking 14 assists, a steal and a block on 8/12 shots from the field. After a protracted NBA Eastern Conference battle between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, the Heat maintained their 3-0 lead in the series, defeating the Celtics in Game 7 after the Boston basketball team managed to end the series with three wins in Follow against the Heat.
The 2023 NBA Finals will be the Nuggets’ first-ever Finals. The Heat have done it seven times and won three NBA Finals.
