CF Montreal’s spectacular comeback against DC United on Wednesday night was one of the best moments of the season so far. Within the group, this small point win on the opposing field did wonders for morale.
After Ariel Lassiter’s equalizer in the 82nd minute, Victor Wanyama and Joel Waterman rushed towards head coach Hernan Losada in celebration. The Argentine instructor returned to this little celebratory moment on Thursday.

“It was a great comeback from us. “I was happy for him that we were able to catch up after the first game,” added Losada defender Waterman. I think we deserve better. So it was important for our morale to get up from the back so late. We wanted to improve our away record by showing that we can score points away from home.”
In April, Losada’s former coach DC United beat CF Montreal 1-0 at the Stade Saputo. The 2-2 draw in Washington didn’t bring three points, but counted in the manner of a win.
Unfriendly hosts
Speaking of revenge, the Philadelphia Union will have to make amends when they host the Bleu Blanc Noir on Saturday. In March, Montreal celebrated its first win of the season against this formation at the Olympic Stadium.

Sunusi Ibrahim also became the second player in CF Montreal history to score and provide an assist after coming on. After his name was added to the MLS Team of the Week, the Nigerian’s main wish is to help.
