Camila Loures, the influencer from Belo Horizonte, was ordered to pay an Uber BRL 25,000 in compensation for embarrassing him on her social media after a disagreement broke out on her trip in São Paulo.

In May 2022, Camila was with him on a car trip and asked him to fit air conditioning, which the driver refused because it was an application rule because of the pandemic.

The influencer was disgusted and began to insist on the air conditioning but then stood his ground, saying he wouldn’t turn it on as the app dictates.

At this point, Marcos Ki Suk Lee decided to retire and told Camila to get out of the car.

The influencer then recorded a video and disclosed the driver’s data to her followers. Eventually, due to the situation, Camila’s followers disagreed and harshly criticized her.

“Back then I was scared when I posted something [o vídeo]”I quickly realized that it wasn’t solved that way and I deleted the stories,” he then told his followers.

Camila’s attorney said she will appeal the court’s decision: “She understands that this amount is disproportionate even if the driver feels injured. In the video in question, she does not defame the driver’s image, she complains about the platform as a service provider. If the verdict is upheld, it should be within the proportionality of the case.”
