At an annual ceremony, six actresses and six actors are presented with a Theater World Award in recognition of their debut in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production.

This comes after Jodie was nominated for her first Tony Award for her role on her latest show.

The actress is nominated in the Best Actress in a Play category for the one-woman drama Prima Facie, which premiered at the Harold Pinter Theater in London.

Jodie plays the role of a lawyer named Tessa in the play, which was transferred to New York in April after receiving critical acclaim and making her Broadway debut.

On the show, Tessa defends men accused of rape and then finds herself on the witness stand after an assault.

Jodie competes in her category against Jessica Chastain in A Doll’s House, Jessica Hecht in Summer 1976, and Audra McDonald in Ohio State Murders.

The actress previously won Best Actress at the Olivier Awards for her role in the West End show, which now runs through July at the John Golden Theater in New York.

This is the 76th annual awards ceremony and the show is being hosted by the Tony Awards committee in New York City.

The nominations were announced by Funny Girl star Lea Michele and Myles Frost, who won for his performance in MJ: The Musical last year.

Actress Ariana DeBose will again host the ceremony, which is scheduled for June 11 at New York’s United Palace Theater.

“It was an honor to serve as the host last year and even more so to be asked back,” DeBose previously said in a statement.

“I look forward to celebrating this incredible season and the people who make this work possible.” This is about bringing some uptown flair to the magic of the Tony Awards.”

The show will air live on CBS and on-demand on Paramount+.
