Russia accuses Ukraine of causing blackouts after attack in Kursk region

MADRID, June 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The governor of Russia’s Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, on Wednesday accused Ukrainian forces of cutting power to two cities in the region after a bomb attack.

Starovoit, who stated on his Telegram account that several people were injured, explained that the incident took place as a result of a bomb attack on a substation.

“Two explosive devices were planted in the town of Popovo Lezhachi throughout the night. A substation worker was injured while restoring service, requiring him to be transferred to a county hospital.

He stated that there is currently “no electricity” in Popovo Lezhachi and Tetkino due to the damage caused by the equipment, although the authorities are already working to repair the damage and restore supplies.
