Former National Hockey League (NHL) star defenseman Chris Chelios has reportedly lost his job as an analyst at ESPN.
According to Front Office Sports’ website, the 61-year-old’s contract will not be renewed. His departure would be part of many upcoming cuts at the company, which will shed 7,000 jobs to save $5.5 million soon.

He also received the James Norris Trophy, awarded to the league’s best defender, three times.
The American came to ESPN in 2016 to broadcast the World Cup. He then worked as an analyst for FOX Sports 1 before returning to ESPN when that network acquired the television rights in 2021.
