The House Oversight Committee is set to hold a hearing on UFOs after a military whistleblower came out with bombastic claims that the government had been lying to the public about the existence of extraterrestrial life for “decades”.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer told NewsNation in the Capitol yesterday, “There’s going to be a hearing on this, there’s going to be oversight.”
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla) and Rep. Tim Burchett (Rep-Tenn) will lead the investigation.
In a statement to , the committee’s spokesman said the move was prompted not only by the whistleblower’s comments but also by other reports that “keep surfacing and relate to unidentified aerial phenomena”.
“The House Oversight Committee is following these UAP reports and is in the early stages of planning a hearing.”

On Monday night, Air Force veteran and former member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, David Charles Grusch, made the astounding claim on TV that the US and other nations were engaged in a top-secret arms race to “reverse engineer” “alien technology” and that the US has recovered “a whole bunch” of UFOs
“The National Defense Authorization Act for 2022 created the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office to coordinate the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, NASA and other federal agencies in investigating UAPs.”
“Americans, who continue to fund this federal government work, look to Congress for transparency and meaningful oversight,” he said.
On Monday night, Air Force veteran and former member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, David Charles Grusch, made the astounding claim on TV that the US and other nations were engaged in a top-secret arms race to “reverse engineer” “alien technology” and that the US has recovered “a whole bunch” of UFOs.
In an interview with NewsNation, he claimed not only to have recovered alien planes, but also the pilots who flew them.
“These are engineering vehicles of non-human origin, call them if you will, spaceships, non-human vehicles of exotic origin that have either landed or crashed.”
“I thought it was completely insane and at first thought I was being tricked into thinking it was a ruse.”
“People started to confide in me. Come up to me. Many senior former intelligence officers, many of whom I have known throughout most of my career, have come to me and confided in me that they are part of a program.
“Of course, if you’re recovering something that’s either landed or crashed. Sometimes you come across dead pilots and believe it or not, as fantastic as that sounds, it’s true.”

Grusch submitted his report in July last year. At the time, the inspector general of the intelligence community described the complaint as “urgent and credible.”
“There is an elaborate disinformation campaign against the US people that is grossly unethical and immoral,” he said, accusing the US government of lying to the public for “decades”.
“We’re definitely not alone,” he said, adding that “a whole bunch” of planes were spotted.
In his first Twitter show last night, ousted Fox News host Tucker Carlson said he didn’t know why the issue wasn’t the focus of the news.
“In a normal country, this news would be considered a bombshell: the news of the millennium.” But in this country, that doesn’t count.”
Carlson accused the Washington Post and the New York Times of ignoring the story.
“There was nothing at all about an alien species flying hypersonic aircraft over our cities.” Not a word.’
He said, “So if you’re wondering why our country seems so dysfunctional, that’s in large part why.” No one knows what’s happening.
“A small group of people controls access to all relevant information, and the rest of us don’t know.”
