Louis Theroux details his friendship with his cousin Justin’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, and reveals she’s the highest-wattage celebrity in his phone book
When asked about his Hollywood contacts, Louis Theroux revealed that the biggest celebrity in his phone book is A-star Jennifer Aniston.
The 54-year-old Friends actress was married to Louis’ actor cousin Justin Theroux for three years between 2015 and 2017 after they began dating in 2011.
It’s likely that Louis and Jennifer crossed paths or met on the celebrity scene around this time, but Louis didn’t elaborate on their first meeting.
Louis’ friendship with Jennifer came up when the documentary maker was asked by British Vogue who was in his phone book.
He said, “Jennifer Anniston is probably the highest-performing celebrity out there.” I’m a well-respected international documentary filmmaker.

Justin recently opened up about his ex-wife, Jennifer, in a revealing interview with Esquire.
The 51-year-old actor, who was recently spotted having dinner with her and putting a rose in her hand, spoke about the challenges of being in a “public relationship”.
He said: “I want all of my relationships to take place within the four walls of the space that we are in. And I’m not trying to be evasive, but I’m talking to Jen — I’m not talking about Jen.”
“People always want to gossip and say things, but you have to find that balance.” And after you’ve been in public, it’s a lot more fun not to be in public.”
He added, “If I say anything, even if it’s something loving, it would just turn into a thing.”
The couple’s short marriage lasted just two years – they tied the knot in 2015 before parting ways as friends in 2017.
Justin and the ‘Murder Mystery’ star have remained close since their divorce and occasionally celebrate birthdays and holidays together.

Speaking to Esquire in 2021, Theroux said, “We don’t talk every day, but we call each other.” We FaceTime. We text. “Like it or not, we haven’t had such a dramatic breakup and we love each other.”
Elsewhere during his chat with Vogue, Louis opened up about his family life with his three sons, Frederick, Walter and Albert.
He said: “I have three boys and the 15-year-old was a bit embarrassed because he said it was a trending brand so I probably shouldn’t be wearing it.” Still, that won’t stop me.
He also elaborated on their shared interests, saying: “When you’re a father of three boys, I think it’s almost part of the job description to have an interest in football.” It would be biased to assume that British Vogue readers and consumers don’t interested in some sort of seedy West London football club.
“So I assume you care deeply about basketball players and their destiny and that we managed to stay in the championship this season.”
