Lamar Odom paid a visit to Bam Margera in the hospital just days after he was committed to 5150 Psychiatry following his very public downward spiral.
While the Jackass star is deciding his next steps, the 43-year-old NBA star reportedly invited him to reside at one of his three drug treatment centers in Southern California.
A source told TMZ that the former pro basketball player “is serious” about helping the actor, who allegedly “was susceptible to going into rehab” during their conversation.
The insider added that the retired skateboarder, 43, and father of three “hugs” as Margera explained that he’s dying to see his five-year-old son Phoenix again.
Over the years, Odom has spoken openly about his battle with the drug addiction that almost took his life after his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in 2015.

At that time he fell into a coma and suffered twelve strokes and six heart attacks as well as kidney and liver damage.
In April, the author of Darkness to Light announced the launch of its Odom Wellness Treatment Centers.
Posting the news on Instagram, he explained that he feels “so blessed” and confident that God saved him to “save others.”
It was announced on Monday that Margera was being held in a 5150 psychiatric pre-trial detention center.
Margera, who is embroiled in a nasty custody battle with his estranged wife Nicole Boyd, who he claims is keeping him away from a young boy, has drawn widespread concern with his rants on social media – and has been labeled a danger to himself, according to TMZ viewed by themselves and others.
LAPD cops found him at Trejo’s Tacos on Sunday by tracking down his phone — and called a psychiatric evaluation team. When they met with Bam, it was claimed that they decided he needed to be put under a 5150.
Bam was taken to a psychiatric facility, but it’s unclear if he’s still receiving treatment.
The involuntary detention means Margera could be held in hospital for up to 72 hours for examination and treatment.
Before his hospitalization, the father of one child threatened to “smoke crack” until he died if he wasn’t allowed to see his son.
Under treatment: While the Jackass star is deciding his next steps, the 43-year-old NBA star reportedly invited him to stay at one of his three drug treatment centers in Southern California
The TV personality – who rose to fame as one of the stars of MTV reality stunt show Jackass in the early 2000s – claims she cut ties with their son, Phoenix, over the past two months.
He posted a tirade on social media, lashing out at his family and estranged wife, saying they were driving him to drink.
Margera then threatened to smoke crack with homeless people on the boardwalk until he dies or is allowed to see his son.
According to his attorney, Peter W. Thompson, he has not seen Phoenix during a personal visit to California since March 29 and has not been allowed to communicate with his child by phone or FaceTime.
His wife’s attorney issued a statement on Margera’s video and urged the TV stuntman to remain sober.
“Unfortunately, addictions don’t work that way.” People’s behavior doesn’t drive others to drink. “It’s a typical defense mechanism and it shows that Bam may not have learned much from treatment for his previous addiction,” attorney David Glass told TMZ.
“You have to take responsibility for your own actions.” “Nikki sincerely hopes that Bam can first achieve and then maintain sobriety for his own good and for the good of her son.”

Margera separated from Boyd in 2021 and went to court in September of that year to seek sole custody of their son.
In February, she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and petitioned the court for an award of $15,000 a month in child support and custody of their child.
In the documents, Boyd said Margera could see her child as long as he was supervised and completed rehab for drug and alcohol problems.
But Margera has been trying to get the judge overseeing the divorce case to dismiss it, while trying to bring forward the next hearing, TMZ documents say.
The reality star claims his ex won’t let him see their baby son, Phoenix, although she claimed in her own filing that his lack of visits was due to his own bad behavior.
He took to social media to attack Boyd and his family and threatened to smoke crack until he was granted visitation rights.
“This is an official message to everyone who cares for me,” Margera said.
“I haven’t seen Phoenix in two freaking months and I’m so freaking sick of it.” I cry every day, I miss him so much and I know I have to wake up every day and I know I probably won’t be talking to him or will see him.
“So yeah Nicki gets me fucking drinking, my fucking mom too and my fucking encouraging dad who doesn’t tell me anything, but I’m a f****** fat loser, a shitty drug addict.

“I’m gonna smoke crack with the bums down the boardwalk until I’m dead or until you give me the frigging Phoenix.” So get to work, Nicki, or anyone who wants to help. I want Phoenix.’
Thompson told TMZ that Margera and Boyd tried unsuccessfully to set up a routine where he would FaceTime his son, but never succeeded.
Margera’s camp said they found it “completely unreasonable” for Boyd not to take the FaceTime or phone calls he made because it posed no danger to the child, the outlet reported.
The next hearing in Margera’s divorce case is currently scheduled for July 11, but the skater doesn’t want to wait that long.
The last time he saw his child was on a personal visit to California on March 29.
That interaction didn’t go well, as Margera was seen in a clip on the site arguing with Boyd at a restaurant in Burbank, California, about the time she spent with the child.
In the clip, he could be seen arguing with Boyd, telling her, ‘Phoenix has a mind of his own.’ Let him have a mind of his own!’
He was subsequently arrested in connection with public drunkenness following the incident.
This was the last time Margera communicated with his son, Thompson said.
Sources said Margera tried unsuccessfully to deliver gifts he bought for his son for Christmas 2022, but Boyd will not deliver them through Margera or any third party offered to him.

Margera has complained about the issue in court, and Boyd responded that she was fine with him making visits with the child, provided they were in California, where she lives, and he was sober.
He is said to pay for Boyd’s home and car expenses and remains willing to negotiate any level of communication with Boyd and her attorneys.
Boyd’s attorney, David Glass, referenced Margera’s behavior in his response to the media outlet.
“From Nikki’s point of view, it’s Bam’s ongoing instability that makes it difficult to connect him and Phoenix,” Glass said. “But Nikki remains open to regular FaceTime communications as long as Bam is not interfered with during calls and as long as Bam does not slur Nikki during calls.”
Margera has struggled with his addiction since 2009 and has been in rehab on and off. He escaped from a court-ordered rehab facility more than three times in the last year.
A judge has restructured his treatment so that he no longer needs to be placed in an inpatient facility to avoid another escape attempt.
He’s made headlines in recent months over a series of legal issues, including an altercation with his brother, who has accused him of drug use. Margera has denied the allegations.
