Prince Harry has decided to sue the Mirror group’s newspapers, accusing them of illegally gathering information about him “to stop the hatred” against his wife Meghan. Harry said so himself on the second and final day of testimony at the High Court in London. To win the case, the son of King Charles and Princess Diana must prove that the illegal activities admitted by the Mirror Group newspapers were directed against him, including illegally tapping his voicemails. Former Daily Mirror reporter who covered the royals, Jane Kerr, admitted in court that she worked with private investigators to get personal details, such as phone numbers and addresses, of people the newspaper needed to contact.

“It didn’t occur to me that anything was illegal, the main thing was to verify that the story was correct,” he said in court. The trial is over two weeks away and witnesses and closing statements are expected to appear. However, there are no plans for Harry to appear in court again. All of England, including the royal family, is watching the London courtroom closely.
