Broken windows, charred walls, collapsed owners… Two beauty salons in the greater Montreal area were again the target of arson attacks Tuesday night.
“It’s my worst nightmare. I am shocked! So much work, commitment, investment… done in no time,” said Gabrielle Charbonneau.
She is the owner of the O’Naturel Care store in Rosemère and was the victim of a Molotov cocktail last night. After the series of fires in pizzerias, two beauty salons were targeted by arsonists within a few hours.

The O’Naturel Care company was struck by an arson attack around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Around 1 a.m., calls to 911 alerted city police patrol officers, who were quickly dispatched to the scene of the fire. Firefighters found a fire item at the scene of the accident and were able to bring the flames under control.
“The suspect was located and arrested shortly after the fire broke out,” confirmed Sergeant Éric Cadotte, spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The state police have also resumed investigations into “complex facts”. The suspect is expected to emerge shortly.

For the Rosemère entrepreneur, it’s a dream that has just shattered.
“The fire has passed into my safe space where I can let my creativity and magic run free, the place where I feel at home. I can’t find the words to explain what I’m feeling. I’m absolutely devastated,” she testified in a video on her company’s Instagram account, in which she is seen in tears.

Despite this serious setback, Gabrielle Charbonneau hopes to be able to continue serving her customers in one way or another, even though the company has suffered badly from the fire. She also thanks her clients for the outpouring of love they have received since the events.
Montreal also has misunderstandings among the owners of Ongles Alexandra, a Westmount beauty salon that burned down that same night.
At around 5:25 a.m., the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) was called to a fire at a store on Victoria Street near De Maisonneuve Boulevard West.

The window of Ongles Alessandra beauty salon was smashed during the arson attack that completely destroyed the shop on Wednesday morning in Westmount.
“I woke up and saw that I had missed a call from the police. They told me that my shop burned down. I don’t know why or what happened,” the owner of the premises said in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.
Two suspects were seen throwing an incendiary object into the window before fleeing. The fire was brought under control quickly, but no suspects were arrested.
According to the police in charge of the investigation, it is still too early to say whether there is a connection between the two fires.
“All possibilities are currently being considered,” said agent Véronique Dubuc, spokeswoman for the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
