The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly poised to distance themselves from star running back Dalvin Cook, who becomes a free agent.
According to the NFL Network, Cook and the Vikings have not been able to reach an agreement on a contract extension and talks are currently on hold. According to ESPN, the Miami Dolphins and the Denver Broncos have also expressed interest in the Miami native.

The 27-year-old would have started the fourth season of a five-year, $63 million deal he signed in 2020. The Vikings could save a whopping $9 million in salary cap by firing him.
The Minnesota squad selected Cook in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The former Florida State University Seminoles star has been in the Pro Bowl for the past four seasons. He had 1,173 passing yards and added 295 passing yards last season, totaling 10 touchdowns.
