Donald Trump said he was summoned to appear in federal court in Miami Tuesday, allegedly indicting the ex-president over secret documents found in Mar-a-Lago
- Donald Trump announced Thursday that he has been charged with keeping classified documents at his Florida home
- He said he was ordered to appear before a federal judge in Miami on Tuesday
- “I never thought that something like this could happen to a former President of the United States,” he said, adding, “I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!”
Donald Trump was charged with misusing confidential documents and summoned before a federal judge in Miami, he announced on Thursday.
The news comes after weeks of speculation that special counsel Jack Smith, appointed to investigate the storage of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, was reportedly close to making a decision on charges.
Trump, who has always insisted he has the right to take any documents he wants from the White House, has said he is innocent.
“The corrupt Biden administration has informed my attorneys that I have been charged, apparently on the Boxes hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 boxes at the University of Delaware, more boxes in Chinatown, DC, and more boxes at the University of Pennsylvania , and documents strewn all over the floor of his garage where he parks his Corvette, which is only “secured” by a garage door that is paper thin and is open most of the time,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“I was subpoenaed to appear in federal court in Miami at 3 p.m. Tuesday. I never thought it possible that something like this could happen to a former President of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the history of our country and currently leads by far all candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in polls for the 2024 presidential election. I’m an innocent man!’
It is said that the prosecutor’s office is concluding its investigation into Donald Trump
