No one was more dominant on Kaseya Center Court than Nikola Jokic in the Denver Nuggets’ 109-94 win over the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
The Serb became the first player in history to accumulate more than 30 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists in a finals game. He now has 16 triple-doubles in the playoffs, third behind Magic Johnson (30) and LeBron James (28). Jokic even has 10 this season, an all-time high.
The Nuggets’ best player kept Miami fans from cheering as their favorites never managed to take the lead in the second half. The gap between the two teams was just five points in the dressing room but widened significantly over the next 24 minutes.
In addition to Jokic, Denver could count on Jamal Murray’s 34 points and rookie Christian Braun’s best game. The 22-year-old had seven out of eight field goal attempts and equaled a career-high 15 points in the playoffs.
The Nuggets lead 2-1 and will look to push the Heat back against the wall with a win in Friday’s Game 4 in Florida.
