This comes after Taylor’s recent shock split from Matt Healey was reportedly not due to the frontman’s recent controversial podcast comments from 1975.

The singer and the 34-year-old rocker shocked the world when their romance was revealed in May and it was speculated they had been together for weeks – but a friend close to the star confirmed on Monday that Taylor is “single” again .

And while fans have guessed the reason for their split, it’s since been claimed that it wasn’t due to Matty’s shocking comments about Taylor’s recent collaborator Ice Spice, 23.

Amid the pair’s short-lived romance, a podcast resurfaced where Matty allegedly made snide comments about the American rapper – prompting Taylor’s fans to urge her to dump him.

But a source close to “The 1975” insisted to TMZ that wasn’t the case, pointing out that Taylor – who released a remix of “Karma” with the rapper in May – spoke of his comments on Ice Spice was “aware” before she started dating him.

And while the hitmaker’s staunch supporters pressed for pressure at the time, the pal said Matty and Taylor were “used to the noise and just tuned it out”.

Last month, fans had been urging Swift to ditch Healy after his controversial podcast comments from earlier in the year resurfaced.

Healy has been accused of racism for making comments about rapper Ice Spice – real name Isis Naija Gaston – during an appearance on The Adam Friedland Show podcast in February.

Healy claimed he tried to message the rapper on Instagram and then, along with Friedland and Mullen, appeared to have confused her origins, referring to them as Inuit and Chinese, mimicking and mocking both’s accents.

The podcast episode was later removed from both Spotify and Apple Music due to its objectionable content.

Healy apologized for comments about Ice Spice during a 1975 concert in New Zealand.
