Pier Francesco Forleo died last night at the age of 62. husband of Elizabeth FerraciniModerator’s daughter Mara Venier. Head of Rai Sports Rights Department. The announcement of Forleo’s death was made this morning by the President of Rai Marinella Soldi and Managing Director Roberto Sergio.
“Pier, you were a wonderful son-in-law. You brought only joy and love to our family… and I loved you like a son…”. wrote Mara Venier on Instagram. Adding: “We will all be destroyed far too quickly. Rest In Peace”.
Andrea Vianello, journalist and TV face, remembers him like this: “When I woke up to the terrible news that a great manager of Rai, good, respectable and full of life, Pier Forleo, is no longer around. he was a friend We called him the Prince because of his natural elegance. Born in Florence in 1962, an Economics and Commerce graduate, joined Rai in 1997 after working in the Planning and Control Department of IRI. At Rai he was part of the reporting and operational control structure in the Administration, Finance and Control department. He was then appointed controller of the radio department and in 2006 appointed purchasing director, where he has been operationally coordinating the code for public procurement in the company’s purchasing processes since 2010. Since March 2015 he has been Director of the Sports Law Department and a member of the EBU’s Sports Law Committee and Sports Right Assembly.
