The screening of the film about the “Ship of Dreams” was the network’s biggest attraction among the yearend specials in 2000. The story was split into two parts, on Thursday and Friday, after the then soap opera at eight o’clock.

SBT stood before the Titanic screening on Globo

The reason may have been Globo’s pressure on Fox. Faced with the impasse, SBT sent out a note stating that the making of would not be shown. Instead, a clip of Celine Dion, interpreter of “My Heart Will Go On,” a theme from “Titanic,” was shown, in addition to images from the film and a repeat of an article about Vietnam.
