Sibora Gagani, 22, had not given a sign of life since 2014. Her ex-companion was arrested for yet another feminicide and confessed to killing and imprisoning her.
The investigation into the 2014 disappearance of 22-year-old Sibora Gagani just took an unexpected turn.
While his ex-companion was arrested a few days ago for the murder of his new wife, the man broke out when he saw the young woman’s photo and told the Spanish police everything.
Arrested for stabbing Paula
Marco R. was arrested on May 27 for stabbing his ex-girlfriend Paula and fleeing. In the police station, he sees a photo of his ex-wife Sibora Gagani on the missing persons board.
At his hearing, the 45-year-old will disclose and confess everything. And especially that he killed her and that her body is in the attic. The police go to the old apartment that the couple lived in Malaga at the time. But at first they are unable to find the body.
X-rays
A team of forensic scientists return to the crime scene and use X-rays to locate a box in the wall, El Pais reports.
Therefore, they destroyed the wall and were able to get out the makeshift coffin.
The body is covered with lime
The find is macabre: a lime-covered corpse with a bag at its side containing a knife and various items belonging to the disappeared. A bouquet of flowers was laid for the victim.
All elements were entrusted to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for analysis. An autopsy was performed to identify the victim. But it would be the missing person who has been wanted for nine years.
“I’ve gone too far with her”
Sibora Gagani, an Italian national and of Albanian origin, had settled in Spain with the suspect. The man explained that he had an argument with this young woman because she left him.
The victim’s mother said she had no further news a few days after the split from her spouse.
Due to the presence of the knife, the victim was definitely stabbed. The suspect said, “I went too far with her.” Before specifying, “I want to work together because it will haunt me forever.”
