Brittany Snow reveals friends and self-care helped her get through divorce from Tyler Stanaland

Brittany Snow followed her own advice.

The 37-year-old actress, who stars alongside Nick Jonas in ‘The Good Half,’ spoke about the importance of self-care on the red carpet at the film’s premiere on Thursday.

In a new interview with People, she opened up about how she’s been feeling since filing for divorce from husband Tyler Stanaland, 33, in January.

The couple married in March 2020 and announced their separation in September 2022.

“I think everyone goes through really tough times and then it all depends on our perspective and how we deal with it, right?” said the Almost Family star.

Brittany, who co-authored September Letters: Finding Strength and Connection in Sharing Our Stories with friend Jaspre Guest, explained that her friends were really there for her in times of need.

“Over the past year I’ve probably gone through the greatest mental health challenge I’ve ever experienced,” the Someone Great actress told Bustle.

“In one day, within a few hours, my life was turned upside down.” I was taken by surprise and everything about my life that I thought I knew, held sacred and really trusted was completely different.”

The uproar only increased when “a few days later my grandmother passed away and I think everything I knew about mental health was put to the test.”

“Thank God for my friends.” I don’t know if I could have made it without them. They reminded me of who I was and what I stood for.’

Brittany revealed that one of her Pitch Perfect co-stars was instrumental in helping her overcome the other side of her grief.

“The last year has been really difficult for me and one of the girls, I just, you know, opened the door and just fell on the floor and just cried and lay there. And she practically nursed me back to health for four days.’

The actress has praised her on-screen family, including the man who plays her brother.
