Christian Bégin underwent surgery for a brain tumor

Christian Bégin is recovering better. For the first time since the brain surgery he underwent just over two months ago, the actor has opened up about his health.

Now that he is “out of danger”, Christian Bégin, who celebrated his 60th birthday on March 16, wrote a long message on his social networks to talk about his surgery and the rest of his professional projects.

On March 29, I underwent major brain surgery after a providential check-up for recurring headaches, he writes. The outstanding CHUM neurosurgery team led by the larger than life Dr. Michel W. Bojanowski removed a benign but worrisome tumor, the presence of which required prompt intervention and a minimum of two months off work.”

“Everything went really well,” he continues. I have been in the hands of an exceptional team of the highest caliber, well surrounded and loved, and now I am out of danger and getting back in the saddle wisely and safely.

Due to the demands of a show alone on stage, Christian Bégin announces that he has “reluctantly” made the decision to cancel the remainder of his tour for the Les 8 Deadly Sins show, according to Christian Bégin.

“An event like this encourages reflection. […] Thank you to everyone who believed in me, trusted me on this project and bought tickets to show their support.”

“I have a head full of projects”

On the TV side, the actor has found his place as the presenter for the last six episodes of the seventh season of the show Y’a du monde à mass. “I would like to thank André Robitaille very much for agreeing so generously to represent me during my absence. A challenge he accepted […] with grace, elegance and brilliance.”

Christian Bégin also resumed filming the 16th season of Curieux Bégin “with the same joy”. “A season where the number of episodes will more than double as we will be shooting 25 shows.”

“I’m fine, my head is full of projects and I’m really excited to find my way back to work and especially the people who make it so necessary, stimulating and meaningful.” Again. More than ever.”

“Thank you to everyone, colleagues, comrades, friends, loved ones, family, members of the public for your immense support, deep concern and reassuring understanding. […] I’m back. Everything is fine, summer. Bit by bit…”

The artist concluded his message by stating that no interview would be granted on the subject.
