Kristin Davis revealed she was brought to tears by cruel comments from social media trolls criticizing her for using fillers.
The 58-year-old actress opened up about her experiences with cosmetic procedures in an interview with The Telegraph on Friday.
“I did filler and it was good, and I did filler and it was bad,” said the Sex and the City star. “I had to have them broken up and was relentlessly mocked.”

She continued, “And I shed tears over it. It is very stressful.”

A Colorado native, she is best known for playing Charlotte York Goldenblatt on the hit HBO series from 1998 to 2004. She reprized her role in the 2008 film Sex and the City 2 and its sequel Sex and the City 2” from 2010.

Davis and her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon returned to the franchise for the 2021 series sequel And Just Like That… Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in the original series and films, chose not to join its first season due to a feud with Parker.
However, HBO Max recently confirmed that Cattrall will make a cameo appearance in the Season 2 finale, which will premiere later this month.

In her interview with the Telegraph, Davis said that she and her castmates have been ridiculed online for their elderly appearance and have also been criticized for trying to look younger.

“It’s hard to be constantly confronted with your younger self,” Davis explained. “And it’s a challenge to remember that you don’t have to look like it.” The internet wants you to do it—but it doesn’t want you to either. They are very contradictory…”
The “Couples Retreat” star told the outlet that she doesn’t care too much about negative comments from social media users anymore.
“It’s whatever,” Davis said. “I can’t go on. I have no time. They trust the doctors.” [but] People blame us personally when things go wrong – [as if] I stuck a needle in my face…”

Davis clarified that she was specifically referring to cosmetic procedures she had done on her lips.
“Nobody told me it wasn’t looking good for the longest time,” Davis said.

She continued, “But luckily I have good friends who eventually said it. The thing is, you don’t smile at yourself in the mirror. Who smiles at themselves in the mirror? Crazy people.”
This isn’t the first time Davis has slammed online critics for their criticism of her and her “And Just Like That…” co-stars.
In December 2021, Davis told The Sunday Times that she was concerned by the “misogynist chatter” online about her age.

“What should I do against it? stop aging? Go away?” Davis said.

“Everyone wants to comment on our hair, our faces, and our this and that, whether pro or no or whatever. The intensity was a shock,” she added. “I’m angry and I don’t want to be angry all the time, so I don’t look at it, I just know it’s there.”
