Yoghurt – kidding!

Actress Melissa McCarthy revealed Friday that the Spy star didn’t actually drink Hidden Valley Ranch in the hilarious 2011 Saturday Night Live skit, but actually drank a probiotic drink called kefir.

“Thinking about it, I kind of really love ranch,” The Heat star told Entertainment Weekly’s 3 Rounds host Alexis Wilson. “So I don’t know that I couldn’t have just done it [drank ranch dressing] … but that requires a lot of logistics.”

McCarthy revealed that in an attempt to find a substitute for the spice, she discovered kefir.

The “Tammy” star joked that the diary drink isn’t all that different from the ranch drink “when you shotgun it down your throat.”

According to The Little Mermaid star, the entire “SNL” skit was a version of something she wrote and performed when she was part of comedy troupe LA Groundling.

“At the time I thought, ‘This is going to be a great idea,'” recalls The Heat star. “And then when I did it three times a week, I was like, ‘Hmmm, it’s hard to get it down the third time.'”

In the section titled “Taste Test,” McCarthy stars as ranch superfan Linda, who tries to prove her love for the brand by trying out the new products with two other consumers.

The Post has reached out to McCarthy for comment.

According to McCarthy, drinking the dairy product was worth every moment.

“If people laughed, I would laugh more,” McCarthy said, adding that her husband, Ben Falcone, asked her to “retire” the bit.

McCarthy recently revealed that she once worked on a project that made her “physically ill.”

The popular actress, who refused to reveal whether the project was a TV show or a film, told The Guardian that the director “manipulated” everyone on set and made several people cry.

“My eyes swelled up, I was sucking in all that weirdness,” she claimed. “There were people crying, obviously upset with that one person.”
