Country singer Jimmie Allen is leaving his label following a sex abuse lawsuit

Country singer Jimmie Allen has been fired from his label a month after he was sued by his former manager for sexual abuse.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Allen’s label BBR Music Group said, “BBR Music Group has severed their relationship with Jimmie Allen, he is no longer an active artist in their roster.”

Allen is being sued by his former manager in a lawsuit alleging he sexually abused her for a year and a half while she worked with him. Allen has denied the allegations, which he described as “deeply disturbing”, saying the relationship was amicable.

The lawsuit, filed May 11 in federal court in Tennessee, alleges that the “Don’t You Wanna Know” singer “manipulated and used his power over the plaintiff’s job to sexually harass and abuse her,” according to sources it in court documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

After allegedly molesting the plaintiff – known as Jane Doe – for nearly a year, Allen allegedly raped her after a dinner they attended after taping an “American Idol” episode in March 2021, sources in the documents.

Allen’s other alleged abuses included grabbing her breasts and buttocks, putting hands down her pants in public without her consent, raping her while choking her, and videotaping encounters without telling her say, the documents say.

In a statement sent to Fox News Digital through his attorney, Allen said: “It is deeply disturbing and hurtful that someone I count among my closest friends, colleagues and confidants is making allegations that are not at all true. “

“I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship – one that lasted almost two years. During that time, she never once accused me of anything, and she has said that our relationship and friendship is something she wanted to continue indefinitely.”

“It was only after things ended between us that she hired a lawyer to ask for money, leading me to question her motives,” the statement continued. “The simple fact is that their allegations are not only false, they are extremely damaging. I have worked incredibly hard building my career and I intend to vigorously defend her claims and take any other legal action necessary to protect my reputation.”

Allen announced in April that he and his wife Alexis Gale were separating, while also announcing that they are expecting their third child together. The couple have two children together, Naomi, 3, and Zara, 1.
