Galaxy S24 Ultra: Samsung would be stagnant on photos with only a minor change expected

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is one of the best smartphones right now, offering a quality experience on all levels. His successor is already being talked about and everything indicates that the South Korean giant has no intention of changing its recipe for success. The Galaxy S24 Ultra would therefore retain most of its predecessor.

The leaker Ice Universe has dealt with the matter and is mainly interested in the photo part. According to a South Korean source that he does not name, this new model would again be equipped with the main 200-megapixel Isocell HP2 sensor, but also with the IMX 564 (12 Mpx) equipped with the ultra-wide-angle module. The same observation also applies to the X3 telephoto lens, as the brand would continue to use the 12 Mpx IMX754.

The only change would ultimately affect the x10 telephoto module with periscope zoom. Samsung would use a 12MP IMX754+ this time. Here, too, the resolution would be cut to 10 Mpx. We don’t really know yet what this “+” marked version could bring more than the standard IMX 754, but we can assume that the changes will be minimal. No information on the front sensor has been leaked yet. One thing is certain: this new model should not start a revolution in photography.

A dangerous immobility?

As for the rest of the spec sheet, Phone Arena’s website clarifies that the Chinese and US models are expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Exynos 2400 will prevail in other global markets. A news that will cringe as they are spurned compared to Qualcomm chips. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, which will inevitably have come down in price, could become a better deal for many consumers.
