It was a memorable day for Canadian golf on Sunday – and for more reasons than one: Adam Hadwin was attacked while trying to celebrate his friend Nick Taylor’s win.

Taylor became the first Canadian to lift the Canadian Open crown in 69 years – but as Hadwin rushed onto the green to celebrate with his friend, he was attacked by security guards.

Earlier that day, Hadwin signed his scorecard and tied for twelfth place with eleven under par.

But as he stormed across the green to happily attend the ceremony and splashed champagne on Taylor, he was attacked before being told he was not a spectator.

Hadwin’s wife Jessica took the opportunity to poke fun at her husband as he was relaxing from his outing at Toronto’s Oakdale Golf & Country Club.

Jessica continued the jokes of the viral moment in interacting with other users.

After Jessica shared a meme of a monkey on a flip phone and wrote, “I’m ready to call Adam and ask why he’s looking at someone else like that,” someone replied, “Security on 18 just attacked Adam on your behalf, lol.” .’

Jessica responded and wrote, ‘What can I say? ‘I have connections.’
