Carla DallOglio the obituary of Berlusconis first wife Great man

Carla Dall’Oglio, the obituary of Berlusconi’s first wife: “Great man and extraordinary father”

“Dear Silvio, you were a great man and an exceptional father to our children. I will always remember the beauty of the years we spent together. An infinite embrace.” A farewell of affection from Carla Elvira Dall’Oglio, Silvio Berlusconi’s first wife and mother of his children Marina (1966), the Cavaliere’s eldest daughter, and Pier Silvio (1969).

The couple were married from 1965 to 1985. Shy and very reserved, Dall’Oglio has never given interviews about the end of the marriage with the Cavaliere and about the character of Veronica Lario (stage name of Miriam Raffaella Bartolini), a beautiful actress he struck during a performance on the stage of the Teatro Manzoni in Milan (“I heard lightning – he said – but it wasn’t a storm”).

As Paola Di Caro wrote in Sette, the former prime minister moved into Villa Borletti on Via Rovani in Milan for Veronica, who was 20 years his junior, and finalized his marriage to Dall’Oglio in 1985. From her no public controversy, no statements, very few photos of her, but a relationship that, thanks to their children, continued civilized and without shocks. It is said that although the lady was quite minor after the divorce, she never bothered to get more. At the separation review, she seems to have only given her ex-husband one hint: “Write us what you want.” Then it was the children who over time provided for all possible needs and even the summers with her in the villas of the former prime minister, for example in Bermuda.
