Luis Miguel is in love. He hasn’t said it publicly, but his current partner, Paloma Cuevas, hasthe fashion designer who confessed to journalist Boris Izaguirre: “Life brought us together in different ways and now we are together.”
Rumors of a relationship began when the singer and the businesswoman were spotted in a romantic pose in Madrid, Spain, in late December, and they have since been plagued by controversy surrounding the bond of friendship that bound them for several years.
Cuevas and the bullfighter Enrique Ponce, then her husband, were godparents to Miguel Gallego, the eldest son of the “Sol de México” with Aracely Arámbula. Although some media have claimed that the two met four years ago in Acapulco thanks to Miguel Magnani, their story goes back a long way: the singer’s father, Luisito Rey, fought in the Capeas organized by Paloma’s father, the rancher Victoriano Valencia, and they were also friends of youth.
Boris Izaguirre recounted in his column in Spanish newspaper El País that he met the couple at the wedding of Daniel Clará and Anne-Marie Colling in Paris, France, in early June. After a brief exchange in which the columnist and the singer recognized each other, Paloma would have confided in him about the romance.
“Cuevas told me about his partner, ‘Our parents were friends and we knew each other when we were little.’ Life brought us together in different ways and now we are together. Maybe we met and then fell in love. Was it different? “It may be, but it can’t be better,” he would have said to the author of Flight of the Ostrich.
Although there is no official statement – but there are many photos and statements by alleged relatives in various media -, Luis Miguel, in his own way, has also joined the endorsement of courtship with the ambassador of the Aladina Foundation, which supports children and young people with cancer financially and psychologically.
On his Instagram account, the protagonist of Fiebre de amor shared the cover of Hello! magazine in his stories. he dedicated them: “Paloma and Luis Miguel, another step in their relationship, their most romantic pictures in Paris.”

It was the evening before the wedding of the son of Rosa Clará, a close friend of Cuevas, which took place aboard the Bateaux mouches on the Seine, “on a night of romance”, as Izaguirre described it. “That first official appearance was electrifying. And now I agree with Paloma: life flies by, but it usually brings you back to the place that matters,” the columnist said.
On April 19, Luis Miguel turned 53 and Paloma organized a birthday party for him at his home in Madrid, attended by celebrities such as singer Sebastián Yatra or former soccer player Raúl González and his wife Mamen Sanz, with whom the singer opened the house von Cuevas left behind the ex-Madridista’s car late at night.

Victoriano Valencia, the Spanish socialite’s father, also referenced what was only a rumor at the time last January. “(Luis Miguel) He is a very nice person at home. We’ve known him forever and I want my daughter to be happy. They both look very good inside and out. You are wonderful. They’re friends for now.” They’re friends. And I can say that.
