1000 Pound Sisters star Tammy Slaton reveals she has run out of oxygen

Tammy Slaton has revealed in a new video that she can now walk unaided without oxygen after her impressive 300-pound weight loss.

The 36-year-old from Kentucky, who first rose to fame in early 2020 when she starred alongside her sister Amy on the TLC reality series 1000-lb Sisters, surprised her doctor, Dr. Eric Smith with a cute clip she shared on Instagram.

Tammy has taken to social media to update her fans on her weight loss progress and health improvements since her time on the show. The latest clip revealed that she doesn’t need oxygen to walk.

The footage shows the super slim, with the encouragement of Dr. Smith walking down a corridor.

Delighted viewers also praised Tammy for her efforts and congratulated her in the comments on the milestone.

The video was originally made by Dr. Smith, who said that seeing Tammy run alone was “the best birthday surprise.”

The TLC star was spotted walking down a corridor unaided, with a big grin on her face, in a floral dress with tights and a gray jumper.

“Something’s missing,” she said proudly, meaning the walker she had been dependent on until now.

Enthusiastic doctors could be heard shouting, “Look at that!” and “That’s great” as Tammy walked down the corridor.

The reality TV star wasn’t wearing her usual oxygen tubing either, proving that since losing weight, she’s now able to move about without the extra supplies.

When a doctor noticed her oxygen tank was missing, Tammy proudly announced that she hadn’t needed it in two weeks.

Comments on the video were flooded with supportive fans.

“Go alone? “This is fantastic,” said one.

“I love that!!! “Oh my god Tammy looks sooo good,” said another.

“Tammy you look amazing,” gushed another.

“Seeing Tammy go like this shows what a difference you make in people’s lives,” wrote another to Dr. Eric.

Tammy has made great strides on her weight loss journey and was spotted walking alone last month during a shopping spree in Indiana.

She was seen getting out of a gas station completely unaided – without the help of her usual stroller.

Tammy, who wore a shock of orange hair, rested her hand on a car as she stepped off the curb.

She paused for a moment and shook her hand in obvious pain – as if she’d received a light insult from the hot hood.

The reality star, who was still using his oxygen tube, then went to a Sam’s club in the area to pick up groceries.

There she again used an electric scooter to get around both the parking lot and the store before climbing into the car using portable steps.

The reality star’s progress has been the focus of much praise on social media, with dozens of users congratulating Tammy on her transformation and health journey.

“Well done girls,” one person wrote – while another chimed in, “Congratulations #TammySlaton on your tremendous weight loss.” You look like a different person! Keep it up!’

A third Twitter user added: “We are sooo proud of you girl!!!” I love you and pray for you all the time…you are an inspiration to so many people…God bless this beautiful woman .’

Other supportive commenters expressed their “pride” at how far Tammy has come, with one writing, “So happy for her,” while another simply said, “Well done!”

But being able to walk on her own is a huge achievement for a woman who once weighed 300 kilograms and whose family believed she would be dead within five years.

She reportedly hit rock bottom in late 2021 when she was hospitalized for breathing difficulties.

Tammy had a tube inserted down her throat for support and she spent three weeks on life support.

The health crisis inspired the reality star to finally make a lifestyle change and enroll in a food addiction program.

And when she gave up on her new chapter, she also quit smoking and drinking completely.

The final season of 1000-Lb Sisters gave viewers a glimpse of Ohio’s weight loss facility.

There Tammy reached her weight loss goal — going from 717 pounds to 534 pounds — and successfully qualified for bariatric surgery.

She said, “I’m thrilled, proud, excited — just all the emotion.” I proved everyone wrong.

‘For everyone who doubted me, I finally got mine!’ My ‘I told you so’ moment!’

According to The Sun, losing weight has also helped her find new love.

Tammy is reportedly dating 25-year-old Greg Morgan just weeks after it broke online that she had split from husband Caleb Willingham.

She is said to have met her new husband through a dating app.

A source told the outlet that they ” hit it off straight away” and “have been seeing each other for about a month now.”

“He came to her a couple of times. “He takes a six-hour bus from Indianapolis to visit her in Kentucky,” they said.
