It is official. Billions will end with the upcoming seventh season.
Showtime confirmed on Thursday that season seven will be the final of the hit drama series and announced the premiere date. The first episode will stream Friday, August 11 on Paramount+ with Showtime before making its on-air debut on Sunday, August 13 at 8 p.m. on Showtime. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly.
Series star Dan Soder previously hinted during an appearance on NBC Sports Chicago’s Football Night that Season 7 would be the last, and Showtime confirmed it today.

As we previously reported, Emmy-winner Damian Lewis will return for the final 12-episode season as fan-favorite Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, joining series stars Paul Giamatti, Corey Stoll, and Maggie Siff.

According to the official description of Showtime: In season 7, alliances will be turned upside down. Old wounds are turned into weapons. Loyalties are put to the test. Betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become cautious friends. And Bobby Axelrod returns as the stakes ramp up from Wall Street to around the world.
Billions also stars David Costabile, Asia Kate Dillon, Dola Rashad, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sakina Jaffrey, Daniel Breaker and Toney Goins.
As we previously reported, Showtime has several spin-offs in the works, including Millions, Trillions, and series set in Miami and London, all with Billions creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien executive producing became. Paul Schiff will also serve as executive producer on the new projects in this franchise.
Billions is created and executive produced by Koppelman and Levien. Beth Schacter also serves as showrunner and executive producer. The series was also created by Andrew Ross Sorkin.
