The Charmed actress posted an earlier video on Wednesday showing her sitting in a hospital bed talking to a doctor about the surgery.

“16. January 2023. Surgery. I had a tumor in my head that they wanted to remove and also do a biopsy. I’m obviously trying to be brave, but I’m petrified. Fear overcame me. I was afraid of all the possible bad outcomes, I was afraid of leaving my mother and what effect it would have on her. I was afraid of not being myself after the operation. This is what cancer can look like,” she wrote in the caption.

Shannen Doherty, 52, announced in 2020 that she had been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. Then, earlier this month, she announced that the cancer had metastasized to the brain.

“On January 12, the first radiation therapy session took place. My fear is obvious. I’m extremely claustrophobic and there’s a lot going on in my life (…) But this fear… The upheaval… This timing… This is what cancer can look like,” the actress explained on Instagram along with a video of her during the radiation treatment. In addition to her serious health problems, she is separated from her husband after eleven years of marriage.

The Beverly Hills actress was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and Shannen Doherty announced in 2017 that she was in remission.
