The former singer of the group posted an old photo of the duo on social networks and wrote a long text recalling the beginnings of RPM alongside Schiavon:
“I met Luiz Antônio Schiavon Pereira in the summer of 1979 at a rehearsal in São Paulo of a Deep Purple cover band whose drummer had been recommended to me, my comrade Lair. It was normal for me to sing in Portuguese in Brazil, and there it broke up up the band!”

Schiavon’s death
The death of Luiz Schiavon was confirmed by the artist’s family, who died in São Paulo. He struggled with an autoimmune disease and had to undergo surgery.
