WATCH: This major league baseball player is terrified of cats

New York Mets player Eduardo Escobar’s teammates and even opponents took great delight in taking advantage of his cat phobia.

On Thursday night during the game against the New York Yankees, Gleyber Torres was spotted with a small stuffed cat in his bullpen, trying to scare whoever was his teammate with Venezuela at last World Classic Baseball.

It must be said that Escobar’s fear of cats is very pronounced. A video showing the bad deeds of his accomplices has been circulating on the internet for some time.

Some players can be seen trying to approach the 34-year-old athlete with cages or surprising him with footage of meowing and hissing.

Be careful though, as Escobar seems to defend himself by throwing objects most of the time. David Peralta was also nearly attacked by a baseball bat.

In short: it is better not to annoy people with their phobias.
