The turmoil surrounding the merger of the PGA and LIV tours is far from over, as golfer Phil Mickelson witnessed during Thursday’s opening round of the US Open in Los Angeles.
Among the major defectors who made the jump to LIV before the war between the two organizations was confirmed to end a few days ago, Mickelson had to contend with a rather turbulent critic in the stands around the ninth hole, where he finished his day’s work. As the American prepared to putt, the person wearing a sombrero and a Hawaiian shirt began calling out to him.

According to Golf.com, the viewer mentioned a Victoria’s Secret sponsorship and lipstick while appearing to be reading a script that had already been written. It should be noted that the 53-year-old player has never been linked to the company in question.
