Both topped the UK iTunes chart last month with their latest single singles and they’re waiting to find out if that’s ever happened before.
Dannii, 51, took first place with her single “We Could Be The One,” while her older sister Kylie, 55, came in second with her hit song “Padam Padam.”
Speaking on Channel 7’s ‘Sunrise’, Dannii said she was shocked to see her new single, the theme tune to new BBC reality show ‘I Kissed A Boy’, which she is hosting, hit number one.
She added: “It was crazy because she [Kylie] was number one and then someone texted me: “You know you’re number one now?”

“Kylie called me right away and said, ‘Isn’t that amazing?’
“Certainly it’s a first for the iTunes charts to have two sisters at number one and two, we’ve yet to find out.”
“But still doing great things with music, that’s such a hype.”
The Australian pop star has a 13-year-old son named Ethan, whom she shares with ex-partner Kris Smith.
While she admitted her son probably doesn’t know all of her songs, Dannii said he’s very supportive of her and Kylie, and he was overjoyed when he heard his aunt’s latest single at the supermarket.

Dannii explained, “Yesterday was the funniest thing ever as we were walking around the supermarket getting groceries and stuff for school and Kylie’s Padam Padam stopped by.”
‘[Me and Ethan] looked at each other and said “oh my god” as they ran down the aisle.
“I took a video of him with the trolley and sent it to my sister.”
“Everything has happened from appearing on the World Pride stage to going to the local supermarket.”

Music legend Kylie recently announced the happy news of her younger sister’s success with a heartwarming post on Instagram.
Kylie shared a photo of herself sharing the stage with Dannii, taken during the Sydney World Pride opening concert.
