Emma Bunton was told to “shut up” by Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri during an awkward exchange at Sunday brunch this weekend.
The Spice Girl, 47, has been criticized for trying to downplay the unruly British weather during her appearance on the Channel 4 show after watching presenter Tim Lovejoy’s chaotic choking episode live on air.
The incident comes after Tim, 55, and colleague Simon Rimmer, 60, teased frontrunner Sharleen, 55, about possible rain at their upcoming performance, leaving the singer quite upset.
But a beaming Emma tried to be positive, saying she “loves” to dance in the rain, prompting Sharleen to yell “shut up”.
The Scottish star then quipped, “You enjoy dancing from the side of the stage in the rain,” implying the pop star would likely have covert passes backstage and not be in the crowd with everyone else.

Tim wreaked havoc when he started gagging and coughing uncontrollably during numerous breaks in the show.
Chef Simon was even forced to interrupt his fish soup demonstration to ask, “Are you alright?”
Just for Tim to reply, “No, I’m not.”
Most managed to gather themselves during the commercial break before blaming hay fever for the incident.
He later joked that all trees should be cut down, prompting his co-host to be quick to clarify that it wasn’t a serious proposal.
It comes after Emma enjoyed a mini-reunion with Spice Girl bandmate Mel C on Wednesday.
