Several people showed up at the PUR Hotel to audition for the shooting of the film.

“There are all kinds. What interests us is to see the joy of dancing. You have to communicate that in the choreographies. You don’t have to be the best in the world. But when we see the joy and pleasure of dancing, that’s what we’re looking for,” the film’s producer, Denis Robert, told TVA Nouvelles.

“With Daniel Bélanger we adapted the play to make it a musical, but that’s another matter. It’s really a movie, it’s a different typeface. It makes us very, very, very happy and at the same time very motivated. And to be able to meet people here this morning and in Montreal both days is great,” said the feature film’s director René-Richard Cyr.

Women and men aged 18 and over had to learn a short dance sequence from the duo Team White, who will be signing the film’s choreographies.

“To get the cinematic experience in front of the screen, they are all feverish. So it’s really a great experience for them,” says Team White choreographer Katherine Leblanc.

People from across Quebec are invited to the auditions, which continue at TVA’s studios on Monday in Quebec and June 20 and 21 in Montreal.

The release of the film “Les belles-soeurs” is scheduled for July 2024.
